Jerry Bain- Cohn High School, Class of 1973


Age 63, of Nashville, passed away March 13, 2018.

Jerry was a wonderful loving husband, my best friend, and father. He loved his family and loved the Lord. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist church. He never met a stranger. He was one of the most loving, helpful person in the world you could have not ask for a better friend. He would take on any task and loved to cook. He loved to play his banjo and guitar. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone.

Jerry worked at the Tennessee Air National Guard retired in September 2012 after 35 years of service as Master Sgt. Survived by wife Diane Bain of 42 years of marriage, son, Jonathan (Ally) Bain, sister, Barbara Brown; brothers-in-law, Jackie (Terri) Hale, Mark (Youngsil) Johnston, nieces, nephew. Preceded in death by his daughter, Jerri Dee Bain; parents: Edgar and Audria Bain; father and mother-in-law, Donald and Betty Hale.

A Life Celebration will be 12:00pm, Saturday March 17th at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Bro Dave Werner and Dr. Mike Shelton officiating. Burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers: Jonathan Bain, Jackie Hale, DJ Hale, Michael Brown, Larry Jackson, Gordon MacDonald, David Hunt and Mark Johnston. Honorary pallbearers: Fellowship Class at Bellevue Baptist Church, Provost Guard, Burger King Retirees from 118th Air National Guard’s engine shop. Visitation will be 3:00pm-8:00pm, Friday with a Masonic Service at 7:00pm in the chapel and 10:00am-12:00pm, Saturday at Funeral Home
